Regalia Floors rugs and carpets are made in Europe, by traditional methods primarily using wool and other natural materials. With wool being an environmentally positive fibre choice, it has a number of benefits, such as being 100% natural, renewable, biodegradable and recyclable. It is also thermo-regulating, easy to care for, and can be repaired and enjoyed for years and years.

With regards to global sustainable development goals, particularly Sustainable Consumption and Production, using wool for carpet and rug manufacturing is the logical and optimal choice when taking price, quality and environmental aspects into consideration. Furthermore, wool is biodegradable so does not contribute to microplastic pollution in our oceans or on our land.

Wool has other special characteristics that offer a plethora of advantages: Including the effect on human health, warmth, a renewable resource, reduced cost, recyclability, biodiversity-supporting etc. Perhaps the most important thing of all is that a material with these characteristics encourages business and behavioural patterns that, especially today, should be a priority for each link in the supply chain, particularly if we take into account that the environment is irreplaceable. Wool is a high-quality, structurally strong and elastic fabric, which ensures carpet durability, as evidenced by the longevity of installations looking good over many years.

Regalia floors sees environmentally-friendly design beginning with the concept design, before the carpet is even manufactured and fitted. This allows for the products to be designed in a way that makes them easily replaceable in case of mechanical damage or heavy soiling, without marring the aesthetics of the room itself. Also, we use the term to refer to "resistant design" in the sense that it is barely affected by current fashion trends and seasons.

With many other textiles and fibres being made from carbon-based products, wool is made from renewable atmospheric carbon. When disposed of, it acts like a fertiliser by slowly releasing valuable nutrients and carbon back into the soil. In the Material Circularity Indicator by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation; wool gets the highest score possible.

Note: Each carpet is handmade. Due to this, the carpets may vary – particularly those whose design requires the mixing of various colours that transition from one to another. Due to different monitor settings, the colours in the photographs may vary from the actual hue of the product, as well as the construction material.

Today, we have a vibrant and very responsive design team who can translate your ideas and dreams into reality. Size, shape, texture and colour are our specialities.
